How can it be for Free?
My initial shooting time, travel and editing for potential use on your Airbnb listing at no upfront cost or risk to you. Once done, watermarked preview images of the shoot will be sent via an online preview link. You can choose some or all of the images to use in your Airbnb listing. If so, a T&C agreement will be signed between us, whereby you pay me a nominal 3% of you gross income on a monthly basis, while using my images at a minimum of 6 months. Should you not like the initial preview images, you are under no obligation to use them, at no charge to you.
Advanced Editing
I deliver the highest quality shooting/editing techniques for your online Cape Town BnB listing, helping you stand out with a slick professional look. Do you work for Airbnb?
No. I am not directly affiliated or contracted with Airbnb in any way for form. I am simply a professional architectural photographer who wants to give everyday people with an online bnb listing the opportunity to have the same professional quality images that I give to my high end architectural and property development clients
How much does it cost?
As mentioned above, I will come to shoot your property for FREE. That means no upfront costs or risk to you.
There are no charges for my time or equipment. I will then edit all the images shot on the day and send you preview of all the images. We can then discuss which you would like to use on your Airbnb listing.
Once decided, I will required the signed royalty agreement for the image usage at the percentage indicated. As of this writing it is 3%, but the official percentage will be in the contract. I must be made a co-host of your listing in order for me to be able to see your earnings so that I get paid fairly. As i have a vested interest in your listing I will provide you with the best possible images and work level.
Airbnb’s co-hosting allows you to actually set a percentage to be paid to my Airbnb account automatically, removing any extra admin from our side and keeping things honest. I will upload the images for you or you can do it from your side. I wont be part of any further management of your listing besides this, unless you require me to, but this will have to be re-negotiated at a higher percentage.
I will then receive a 3% revenue (or what is indicated on the official agreement) of your total gross earnings form Airbnb per month for the usage of my images in your listing.
The minimum usage period is 6 months. From there you may decide to either remove ALL my images form Airbnb and anywhere else, thus voiding our agreement. Should you see the value in having my images as the marketing face of your listing, thus seeing the benefit of them, we will re-sign another agreement for an extended period.
Do you clean during your shoot?
No, the service is for photography only. Please make sure to get your domestic to give the place a proper clean BEFORE I get there, and NOT DURING, otherwise she will be in the way of the shoot.
Do you offer home styling?
Absolutely! I have joined forces with a professional interior designer/home styling guru to offer you home styling as an option but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED extra, She will make sure that when I take the pictures, they will be at their most professional and the best they can be.
Why use a home stylist? Remember, the camera only shoots what it sees. So if there is clutter, items that are out of place or that just simply don’t fit the style I am shooting towards, it will show up in your photos and bring down the quality of the mood and neatness.
Remember styling is not general cleaning, so you will still need your domestic to clean the place as well, as mentioned above
Do you know of anyone who can mange my listing for me?
Definitely! I have also offer management for you short term or online bnb rental. I will deal with the clients, bookings, keys and cleaning between bookings for you, while you are unavailable or don’t have the time to spend doing so.
How long until I see my images?
In general I can get them done within 24hours, but this depends on work load at the time. If I am very busy it will take a little longer. I cannot guarantee a set delivery time.
In what dimensions and formats will the image be delivered?
Final bnb photography images will be provided in relation to Airbnb’s guidelines of 1024 x 683px at 72 DPI JPEGS.
Optional and paid for print versions vary depending on size chosen:
- A5 = 2480 x 1748px at 300DPI JPEGS
- A4 = 3508 x 2480px at 300DPI JPEGS
- A3 = 4961 x 3580px at 300DPI JPEGS
How will the images be delivered?
Once the shoot is complete I will send a preview of all images shot using a Google drive link. Here you can copy the images you want into the selection folder. depending on the amount of images and other additional extra chosen, These images can then be used on your Airbnb listing and the percentage payment made each month, for the usage of the images.
Do I own the copyright to the images?
No, when agreeing to use my service, you acknowledge and agree that I retain any and all copyright to all of my work.
You are simply paying for image usage rights of the chosen images, based on a percentage fee of your gross income.
Currently the images may only be used on Airbnb, and by making me a co-host of your listing or order for me to be set-up to receive my percentage fee though Airbnb’s platform.
In no way may you resell the images for a profit. In no way may you claim that you created the images
The final quote pricing is different from the contact form
No the contact form is simply an initial point of contact. From here we will discuss how everything works and sign a royalty agreement.
What if an hour's shooting time isn't enough to complete my home?
In general, an hour is enough for a standard two bedroom home or apartment for for your shoot. I also want to maintain the highest quality so don’t want to rush either. Please indicate on the contact for how many rooms your home has before I shoot, so that i can give you the a close enough timeframe.
Why can't I get the shoot date I selected?
Selected shoot dates are not set in stone, as this is based off my current availability, workload and weather (this is Cape Town after all)
